We have strengthened our portfolio of standards by introducing another critical addition: the Oncology Services Standard. Our decision-making process for developing new standards is guided by a clear principle, evident in every choice we make. All of our standards are built on two core pillars: patient safety and a focus on high-risk areas. The standards for Stroke, Endoscopy, Dentistry, Maternity, and now Oncology represent a new generation of benchmarks designed to tackle the pressing challenges faced by accredited organizations—such as operational saturation or difficulties in implementing meaningful improvements. These Clinical Excellence Standards are our response to such challenges. We have begun preparations for developing a new standard for transfusion medicine. As part of the project, we will visit five transfusion centers. The first center we visited was the Transfusion Center at the General Hospital Celje in Slovenia. Bu kapsamda Uluslararası Amerikan Akreditasyon Komisyonu AACI ile Uluslararası Sağlık Turizmi Enstitümüz tarafından hazırlanan GOLDEN PRESTIGE isimli özel değerlendirme rehberleri için iş birliği protokolünü imzaladık. Belirlenen kriterlere uyum sağlayan sağlık turizmi tesislerinin sertifikalandırılmaları sayesinde sağlık turistlerinin daha güvenli ve istekli bir şekilde ülkemizi tercih etmesine katkı sağlanması hedefleniyor. Uluslararası Amerikan Akreditasyon Komisyonu AACI Türkiye Temsilcisi Sayın Ömer Peşinci ile birlikte imzaladığımız iş birliği protokolünün ardından talep eden ve kriterlere uyum sağlayan sağlık turizmi tesisleri GOLDEN PRESTIGE sertifikasına sahip olabilecek.

We set new trends in accreditation, develop standards that didn’t exist before us, and raise the bar for quality solely to enhance patient safety and the quality of healthcare. #Patientfocus is not just a phrase for us—it’s a way of life.  To promote continuous improvement, which is one of the main goals of accreditation, we have introduced annual on-site surveys. These allow us to monitor #healthcare organizations in achieving their objectives and implementing improvements.  You can’t expect the same results when you oversee an organization every three years compared to every year. Today, we successfully concluded the consultations for our oncology standard. Physicians from a variety of specialties, including oncologists, from the #USA, #Brazil, #India, #Thailand, and #Croatia, shared invaluable feedback and suggestions to enhance the standard. The response was truly remarkable, with over 50 #physicians participating in the process.  At AACI America, we firmly believe this marks the creation of the most comprehensive and effective standard for #oncology services ever developed. In the next phase, we will pilot-test the standard through surveys. If the results demonstrate that it fulfills its intended purpose, we aim to publish it by the end of this year.  We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in this historic initiative.
