About us

For over 100 years, AAF Spokane (American Advertising Federation Spokane) has made a commitment to more than just our members and the business community at large, but to the next generation of professionals as well. Local ad clubs exist in many markets and range in size from 30 to over 3,000 members. Members are employed in all aspects and disciplines of the advertising industry. We represent agencies, corporate marketing departments, broadcast and print media companies and industry suppliers. AAF Spokane sponsors a variety of programs, including meetings featuring industry-related speakers, professional development workshops, educational seminars, scholarships, public service initiatives, social events and local award competitions recognizing excellence in advertising. Through our affiliation with the American Advertising Federation (AAF), we have an even more powerful voice and influence in our community We are part of AAF’s network comprising over 52,000 professionals in all corners of the United States.

Born and raised in Spokane, Alyssa has been a real estate agent for the last seven years, helping families find the perfect home for them in the city she loves. But Alyssa’s influence goes far beyond real estate. Through her fun and engaging Instagram videos, her goal is to keep the Spokane community up-to-date and in the loop. She shares everything from new businesses that are opening soon, to the best spots for a cozy date night or a restaurant that the kids will love. Amanda is a marketing, design, and communications professional with twenty years of experience, including stints in Washington, DC and New York City at Fortune 500 financial services and consulting companies. Her career has taken her to India to train designers and editors for 24-hour creative services support, on press-checks for the American Express gift card division, to film sets to interview celebrity authors for the sought after J.P. Morgan Private Bank annual summer reading list, to a pro-bono rebrand for a non-profit supported by former President Obama. For the past eight years, Amanda has served as the Director of Marketing and Communication at Spokane Public Library. In this role, she has won numerous national awards, including winning the top award in library marketing —the John Cotton Dana—twice. Amanda played an instrumental role in transforming the Spokane Public Library into a 21st- century facility through a $77 million bond project, including the philosophy and creative direction behind the children’s play spaces and overseeing the interior finishes and furniture selection for all library spaces. Amanda is a sought-after public speaker on marketing and communications topics and is a board member for the Library Marketing and Communications Group. Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University and a master’s degree in journalism from University of Oregon. When not working on her next marketing strategy, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her three young children, husband, and border collie-mix, Tango.

She is involved in all things from creative production, media strategy and execution to client management. Nichole has been married to her amazing husband for 25 years, has two wonderful daughters and a brand-new granddaughter! She enjoys fishing and spending time with her very large extended family.

She began her career as the Curator for Cultural Literacy at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC) where she developed and administered many successful programs from scratch. This includes an in-depth professional development program for regional high-school students interested in becoming exhibit interpreters; a K-20 American Indian educational program; and a monthly after-hours program meant to draw in new museum goers. At the MAC, she also helped curate many exhibitions and was trained in Visual Thinking Strategies, a student-centered teaching methodology centered around art. Ginger is currently a Cofounder and the Executive Director of Terrain, a groundbreaking nonprofit that believes everyone needs art — and that a more just and vibrant Spokane is possible through creativity, economic opportunity, and the collective action of everyone who dares to create. In addition to large-scale annual events highlighting hundreds of artists and attracting 10s of thousands of attendees, Terrain also runs a retail storefront, a gallery space, an arts-driven beautification program, a workforce development program for creative entrepreneurs, and a bi-monthly workshop series for arts-based businesses. Ginger has sat on countless art panels and on multiple Boards and Committees including Mayor Lisa Brown’s Transition team, Keep Music Live, All in Washington, the Washington State Arts Commission, The Spokane Arts Commission, Wheelhouse, Artist Trust, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, Visit Spokane, Carl Maxey Center, Spokane’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, and a Joint Arts Committee helping to select public artwork going into Spokane’s regional parks. She also loves dogs, especially pugs.
