The Consumer Financial Services Committee is comprised of approximately 1400 members representing consumers, industry, agencies, and regulators in the practices areas of: • Housing and personal property finance • Truth in lending • Financial privacy, credit reporting, information security and identity theft • Federal preemption of state and local laws • Electronic delivery of consumer financial services • Stored value and credit cards • Credit discrimination and fair access to financial services • Litigation and arbitration • Debt collection and consumer bankruptcy • Compliance management • Deposit products and payment systems • Federal and state trade practices The mission of the Consumer Financial Services Committee is to provide a forum for exceptional professional development and relationship building; meaningful engagement with regulators, consumer advocates, and industry lawyers; public service and thought leadership.
