A hasp and staple latch is a simple, heavy-duty system for keeping gates secure. The hasp is a flat metal plate with a hinged arm that has a notch cut out of one end. The staple is a u-shaped metal loop that fits through this notch when the latch is closed, allowing a padlock to be attached. Hasp and staple latches from #Abbey are versatile, cost-effective and easy to install while also being very resistant to tampering or intruders.
