Founded in 1991, Education Through Music (ETM) is a nonprofit organization that has provided over 8 million hours of music education in NYC public schools. ETM promotes the use of music as a means of enhancing students' academic performance and general development. Hope for New York mission is to provide volunteer and financial resources to organizations serving the poor and marginalized of New York City. Hope for New York partners with more than 60 nonprofit organizations to serve New Yorkers in need, including the homeless, vulnerable women, at-risk youth, immigrant populations, and the elderly. They seek to strengthen these organizations, called "affiliates," by giving grants to support their programs, mobilizing volunteers, and providing training and consulting so they can do their work even better.
