I just got back from Chicago and the American Hernia Society annual meeting where I had the privilege of lecturing on the #opioidepidemic and #valuebasedcare. I represented the Abdominal Core Health Quality Collaborative Foundation (ACHQC) for the opioid lecture, and Boston Hernia for the lecture on independent private practice where I started and ended with a provocative slide. Below is how I ended the talk. In my attention getter intro slide (not shown), the three titles were "CMS", "Michael Porter" and "Private Practice" . What are peoples thoughts on independent medical practices in 2024 and beyond?
