Dear Academicians
Be Aware of the Infant AI 😱 😰
------
Most of the artificial technologies globally are in the very early stage, technologies like ChatGPT are newborns, a baby trying to learn, it has little coverage of the texts out of seven seas of academia, and most of them come from open-access websites, and materials. For the copyright issue, it even does not cover the texts and can not properly cite things, the close access and copyright and subscription-based academic books are yet a subject of pepper literature review which is out of the hands of ChatGPT. The responses of this chatbot are not every time accurate and reliable, it even suggests a disclaimer at the bottom not to rely on its responses blindly. Without an understanding of the limits of technology, a researcher may ruin his work easily.

Passive Consumption of Low Value Contents
Lecture on Popular Culture and Digital Humanities
A "passive consumption" relationship with the internet refers to a user's behavior characterized by primarily consuming online content without actively engaging, creating, or contributing. In this context, "passive" implies a one-sided interaction where the user is more of an observer or consumer of digital content rather than an active participant.
Key characteristics of a passive consumption relationship with the internet include:
Consuming Content: Users with a passive consumption approach spend most of their time online consuming content created by others. This content can include articles, videos, social media posts, images, and other forms of digital media.
Limited Interaction: There is minimal interaction with online platforms beyond consuming content. Passive users may read articles, watch videos, or scroll through social media feeds without actively commenting, sharing, or contributing their own content.
Observation Mode: Users in a passive consumption mode are often in observation mode, taking in information without actively participating in discussions, expressing opinions, or contributing to online communities.
Less Social Engagement: Passive consumers may have limited social engagement online. They may have accounts on social media platforms but may not actively participate in conversations, share personal updates, or engage with others' content.
Information Gathering: The primary goal for passive users is often information gathering. They use the internet as a source of information or entertainment rather than a platform for active participation or communication.
Low Contribution: Passive users contribute less user-generated content to the internet. They may not create blog posts, upload videos, or actively participate in collaborative projects.
While passive consumption is a valid way for individuals to use the internet, it contrasts with a more active and participatory approach where users actively contribute, create, and engage with online communities. Active internet users may share their thoughts, create and publish content, participate in discussions, and collaborate with others, fostering a more dynamic and engaging relationship with the online world.
It's important to note that people's internet usage habits can change over time and may vary based on personal preferences, interests, and goals. Some individuals may switch between passive consumption and more active participation depending on the context and their objectives online.
