AbsenceSoft turned 11 last week. As someone who focuses on “what’s next”, it kind of slipped by me – especially after we celebrated big for our 10th anniversary. I noted it, but quickly shifted my attention to how we tackle 2025 and beyond. But as we discussed it internally, year 11 truly was an incredible year and I want to acknowledge that. Every year at AbsenceSoft has been amazing. Certainly, some years more challenging than others, but the trajectory has been the same with each one seeming to outpace the last. Year 11 was no exception, one with significant achievements. We again had double digit percentage increases in new clients, covered lives, and AbsenceSoft employees. We remained financially strong and our success caught the attention of a new financial sponsor, Luminate Capital who is helping to fuel our growth moving forward. To me, the success of the year really shows up in the metrics I pay the most attention to – client retention and AbsenceSoft employee satisfaction survey results. Both have continued to be best in class. In my mind it’s a huge achievement to grow significantly while still retaining the things that made us successful – delivering a product that our clients value and remaining the best place to work in the leave and accommodations space (or in my opinion, the best place to work in any industry). I’m continually amazed by the wonderful clients, teammates and partners I work with in the AbsenceSoft ecosphere. A lot has changed in AbsenceSoft’s 11 years. When we started, we knew there was a business need to solve employers and employees leave and accommodations challenges. What hasn’t changed is the number of employers and caring HR folks on a mission to solve that problem with humanity, certainty and efficiency and we are excited to continue to enable this goal. We may be 11, but we are just getting started.
