About us
Acacia HR Solutions was founded on the principle that small businesses can do anything big businesses can do - they just have to know how to scale. Our mission is to help small businesses create and scale an HR strategy that helps them attract, develop and retain the talent they need to grow the business. In 2010, founder Sabrina Baker experienced a layoff after spending 11 years in corporate America and while on maternity leave. This experience made her reevaluate her career path and helped her focus on her strengths. Those strengths which include training and development and creating long term strategy could help small businesses grow into highly functioning businesses led her to start the business. The business offers three distinct services; HR outsourcing services for employers with less than 100 employees who do not have a need for full time HR staff, but still need HR support, training and development services for businesses of all sizes who want to invest in their employees and strategy development services which help businesses create strategies around HR programs such as recruiting and retention. Outsourcing services are offered at a fixed, monthly cost. Other services are priced based on project. In addition to the services above, Sabrina's layoff gave her a new respect for those in transition and seeking work. She often speaks and trains on job search topics and holds a special place for veterans and their families. She trains HR groups on establishing effective veteran hiring strategies and that work has helped local HR groups gain national recognition from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
