You are invited to a January 15, 2025, Q&A session hosted by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) related to the 2025 Professional Optometric Degree Program Standards. Please submit your questions by January 6, 2025, and share this post with others you think may be interested in participating. Mark your calendar for January 15, 2025, 4-6 pm PT/5-7 pm MT/6-8 pm CT/7-9 pm ET At its October 27-29, 2023, Fall Meeting the ACOE adopted the Professional Optometric Degree Program Standards and set an effective date of January 1, 2025. All professional optometric degree programs undergoing an accreditation review after the effective date are required to be evaluated to the new 2025 Standards. The new Standards involve numerous updates and enhancements relative to the 2017 version of the Standards. To support the transition to the new Standards, the ACOE is hosting a Q&A session where programs and ACOE consultants are invited to ask questions related to interpretation and intent. The January 15, 2025, Q&A session will be hosted virtually, and the Zoom link will be distributed later. You can find a copy of the 2025 Professional Optometric Degree Program Standards on the ACOE website, www.theACOE.org If your question relates to an ACOE-defined term in its Glossary, you can find a copy of the Glossary on the ACOE website.
