Bujnowski, FACHE and Kris Sanders, FACHE proudly presented Adam Shorter, COO of Texas Native Health ,with the 2024 ACHE of North Texas Foundation Community Health Equity Grant! 🎉 This grant symbolizes more than just funding—it’s a commitment to health equity, community empowerment, and cultural connection. 🤝 With this grant, Texas Native Health can expand its quarterly Farmers Market program, providing critical access to healthy, culturally significant foods for American Indian/Alaska Native families. We’re thrilled to stand alongside Texas Native Health as they continue to uplift underrepresented communities in North Texas, addressing food insecurity and promoting wellness for over 300 families. 🚨 Announcement: 2024 ACHE North Texas Foundation Grant Award Recipient 🚨 We are thrilled to announce that Texas Native Health has been selected as the 2024 recipient of the ACHE of North Texas Foundation Health Equity Grant! 🎉 Why Texas Native Health? As a vital community organization, Texas Native Health has been a steadfast champion for underrepresented and underserved American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) populations in North Texas for over 50 years. Their mission to enhance health and well-being through culturally attuned care aligns with our commitment to health equity. This organization provides essential services like primary care, behavioral health, and dental services to AI/AN families—filling a critical gap in healthcare access. One of the standout initiatives that led to their selection is their Farmers Market Program, which addresses food insecurity by providing healthy, locally sourced, and culturally relevant foods to AI/AN families. These quarterly markets not only ensure access to nutritious food but also reconnect the community with ancestral dietary practices—combatting diet-related chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
