What do we believe? The Achieve Brown County Collective Impact Partnership believes that all young people should be successful in these 🔽 seven areas of education and career development. 🖍 Kindergarten Readiness 📚 Early Grade Reading ➕ Middle Grade Math 👨🎓 High School Graduation 🗞 Post Secondary Enrollment 📥 Post Secondary Completion 🦺 Employment We believe that our entire community (from government, parents, nonprofit, healthcare, businesses, educational institutions, etc.) should be involved in building and maintaining systems that support each young person's attainment of success in these areas. When a child is successful in all seven of these areas and those systems are build for them, that child will be on the path to economic mobility (making over 200% the poverty line and/or more financially stable than their parents). This is how our community supports a literacy rich environment!

This year, Achieve Brown County celebrated 10 years of impact. The dedication to the power of collaboration, adaptability and community-driven change from Achieve Brown County Partners is changing lives in our community.

Last month, Achieve Brown County Collective Impact Partner, Lovin' the Skin I'm In hosted a summit aimed at addressing the trauma faced by Black youth. Our Project Manager Daisie Mathias, reflects on the impact of the summit and how a young persons demographic makeup can project systemic inequities in educational attainment. "As I reflect on the summit, I am reminded of Achieve Brown County’s mission to foster collective impact and create systemic change. We know that the race you are born directly affects your statistics on your educational attainment and economic mobility as an adult. Addressing the inequities faced by Black youth aligns closely with our efforts to build a stronger, more equitable community."
