There are many different everyday things for which one should be thankful. Simple things like food, clothing, education, jobs etc. Unfortunately, most people in developed countries take them for granted. But what if that weren't so? What if those things were luxury? Are you finding hard to imagine? Well, our members had that same problem, but decided to do something about it. Act for Africa International is a voluntary organization that was established to help in the struggle against poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our Mission is: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH AGRICULTURE INITIATIVES. We are initiating a platform that will implement a new inclusive growth opportunity aimed at creating sustainable jobs for local unemployment people in rural areas, while at the same time, bringing proper nutrition and food security in the region. The platform will include comprehensive research on funding opportunities and stockholders for agriculture projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our plan is the setup of a platform that will enable farmers to find resources and finances to start or develop their agro-businesses. Our Model is developed to be self-sustaining, allowing local communities control over governing, management and procurement. Act for Africa International, Inc. is mobilizing resources to ensuring a sustainable development. We help establish and develop an agro-village which is a cooperative agricultural enterprise to sustain development in the village. This is a combination of small farmers to start an agro-business activity that will generate substantial revenue in order to implement socioeconomic infrastructures such as schools, medical centers, water pumps and sanitation within the village. We move rural communities to be self-sufficient. We are finding the strength to bring hope and real change to rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
