For this quarter’s Matter of Impact, we focus on Latin America, a region rich in natural assets but facing significant vulnerabilities. Home to 60% of the world’s biodiversity, including the Amazon rainforest, Latin America contributes only 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Yet, its 660 million residents, especially Indigenous communities and those in urban areas, are on the frontlines of climate change.
