When evaluating modular vehicle barrier systems, it is critical users understand crash testing criteria, certification ratings, and configuration in which they are tested. Crash testing standards utilize three primary metrics to determine barrier performance: vehicle weight, vehicle speed, and most importantly, vehicle penetration distance after vehicle impacts barrier. The MVB3X Modular Vehicle Barrier System is certified to IWA14-1:2013, PAS68:2013, and ASTM F2656-15 standards. The MVB3X achieved an impressive 31.8 feet of vehicle penetration against a 5,500-pound vehicle at 30 miles per hour.
