AdventHealth Riverview's Lighting the Way event was a wonderful evening of festive lights and connecting with our Riverview community. 🎄 We are so thankful for the local community and our team members who came together to spread cheer and enjoy holiday fun at the new hospital!

As we approach the close of the year, I want to celebrate team members, providers and community partners that helped us expand whole-person care and make 2024 a year of remarkable growth and progress in AdventHealth West Florida. With your help, we…  — Served patients and first responders through historic, back-to-back hurricanes  — Doubled our graduate medical education programs and opened a new family medicine residency practice at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel  — Fueled our nursing pipeline with the opening of AdventHealth University Tampa  — Opened AdventHealth Riverview, a brand-new, full-service hospital, and hired over 400 employees  — Broke ground for a medical office building near AdventHealth Ocala  — Opened standalone emergency rooms, AdventHealth Northdale ER in Hillsborough County and AdventHealth Winter Haven ER in Polk County  — Added a state-of-the-art helicopter to our fleet of emergency response vehicles — Broke ground on an 80,000-square foot expansion project at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel — Signed an agreement to purchase a hospital in Port Charlotte, expanding the division footprint into Charlotte County — Partnered with the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, with plans for the development of the AdventHealth Riverwalk Stage — Supported AdventHealth’s global missions department, which sent 472 volunteers to 13 different countries and raised more than $2.1 million  — Promoted the use of the AdventHealth app, which reached over 2.5 million active users These shared successes would not be possible without the combined effort and dedication of the mission-driven people on our team. Walking in a winter wonderland! 🎅 AdventHealth Ocala and World Equestrian Center (WEC) teamed up to bring the magic of the WEC's Winter Wonderland to our pediatric rehab patients with visits from Santa, the Grinch, Belle, Spider-Man, and Miss Tilly. Thank you to WEC for helping us create unforgettable holiday experiences for our patients and their families.

AdventHealth is embarking on a new partnership with the Straz Center for the Performing Arts! 💙 AdventHealth will be making a significant investment into Tampa Bay's cultural landscape as we support the Boundless Campaign, which will transform the Straz Center’s physical spaces and expand the growth of its endowment. This new partnership will directly contribute to the development of the AdventHealth Riverwalk Stage along the Tampa Riverwalk, a reimagined, state-of-the-art venue aimed at creating access to free world-class performing arts for the entire community. The collaboration will also extend to the Straz Center’s summer camps and classes at the Patel Conservatory, where children can participate in programs that foster creativity, confidence and personal growth through musical theater, dance and other performance arts.
