🌲 Aegis Strong in the Face of Adversity 🌲 As many of you know, Seattle was hit hard by a bomb cyclone last week, and the storm brought significant challenges to our community. Aegis Living of Issaquah was particularly impacted, with downed trees causing damage across the property. Thankfully, there were no injuries to our residents or staff—a true blessing amidst the chaos. They say the true measure of a company is how it handles adversity, and last week, I saw firsthand why Aegis Living stands apart. Our regional maintenance supervisor, @Arash Delia, exemplified dedication by staying up all night to check on multiple properties, unprompted and unannounced. By morning, it was clear a massive cleanup effort was needed, with trees on roofs and streets needing immediate attention. SVP Derrick Skinner stepped in without hesitation to lead the effort, even though Issaquah isn’t his assigned building. When the regional leader was out of town, Derrick didn’t blink—he just acted. And it didn’t stop there. Team members from across the company showed up without being asked. Corporate leaders like CFO Jamie Ranzan, Aegis Living and Chief People Officer Derek Mullens came early to support. Charlie Fusco Lit Agent / Exec. Producer, one of our marketing partners, even rolled up her sleeves to help. GMs and staff from neighboring communities arrived to ensure our residents were safe, well-fed, and cared for. This wasn’t about roles, titles, or orders—it was about people helping people. This kind of selfless teamwork and commitment fills me with so much pride. At Aegis Living, we don’t just talk about culture; we live it. The resilience, compassion, and heart I witnessed during this storm remind me why I’m so proud to be part of this incredible family. Here’s to the A++++ team that turned adversity into an opportunity to shine. 💪❤️
