In November, the United States Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals held oral argument in the case of United States v. Menard, at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Under #lawschool faculty supervision, #lawstudents from University of Oklahoma College of Law and Oklahoma City University School of Law prepared and argued amicus briefs. For this month’s #November #ICAF_ESgradSalute, we proudly highlight 2011 #ICAF distinguished graduate Lt Gen Charles Plummer, The Judge Advocate General (TJAG) of the United States Air Force and United States Space Force. His law career began in 1994 when he was admitted to the New York State Bar Association, entering the #USAirForce by direct appointment in September 1995. Throughout his career, Lt. Gen. Plummer has led in prestigious legal positions across multiple levels. Some of his key roles include Chief, Recruiting Branch for U.S. Air Force JAG Corps, Assistant Executive to #TJAG, Staff Judge Advocate, Deputy Legal Counsel at the Office of the Chairman of The Joint Staff, Commander of the @Air Force Legal Operations Agency, and Deputy Judge Advocate General. In his current role, Lt. Gen. Plummer serves as the Legal Adviser to the Secretary of the Air Force, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and the Chief of Space Operations, as well as all officers and agencies of the United States Department of the Air Force. He oversees the professional performance of more than 2,200 judge advocates, 350 civilian attorneys, 1,400 enlisted paralegals, and 500 civilian employees, ensuring excellence in #militaryjustice, operations and #internationallaw, and #civillaw across the U.S. Air Force and #SpaceForce. We congratulate Lt. Gen. Plummer on his incredible career and thank him for his continued service and leadership.
