As the finishing touches are put on the ARC, we want to recognize the incredible trajectory and achievements of the R&D lab, its key role in our company, and its impact on the recycling industry. 🔬 The ARC is an innovative lab dedicated to sustainable solutions for plastic waste and circularity. Versatile design and capabilities enable state-of-the-art research, development, testing, and support services that advance plastic circularity and recyclability across the value chains. 🤝 The ARC provides a range of services including characterization and identification of plastic streams that can be turned into feedstock sources matched to advanced recycling processes. Read more below! 👇 🌍 Our process is lower carbon: Our advanced recycling technology can reduce carbon impact by using an electrified reactor powered by a renewable energy source. 💪 Our system is robust: Styrenyx can handle a broad range of polystyrene feedstocks and blends including polystyrene waste, general purpose polystyrene, expanded polystyrene, extruded polystyrene, high impact polystyrene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, styrene acrylonitrile. This flexibility boosts recycling rates by processing diverse polystyrene waste. 👍 Our system is catalyst-free: This allows us to process contaminated polystyrene waste without incineration. By processing contaminated polystyrene waste that traditional methods cannot, we can increase recycling rates and enable more plastic to be reclaimed and reused in high-value applications. ♻️ Our process is flexible: The styrene monomer produced by our technology is versatile and suitable for a wide range of end markets, including medical and food-grade plastics, automotive components, and construction materials.
