For over 8 years, we’ve had the privilege of working with the talented team at Priority Designs, a product and brand development company based in Columbus, OH. Recently, as our community in the Greater Tampa Bay area faced challenges from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Priority Designs showed us the true meaning of partnership and generosity. Their kind gesture of sending gift cards brought our team together for a much-needed moment of connection and appreciation. On November 27th, we gathered for lunch, made possible by their thoughtfulness. Thank you, Priority Designs, for your compassion and support during challenging times. Yesterday was an exciting day for AGORA Edge. Thank you PCED for organizing this special event.
Today, the Pinellas County Government Board of County Commissioners celebrated the ribbon-cutting for AGORA Edge’s new facility in St. Petersburg, Florida. AGORA Edge, a leader in soft goods design and manufacturing, serves diverse industry needs, including medical supplies, safety equipment, and mobile computing. Established in 1985, AGORA Edge employs over 350 workers and counts several Fortune 500 companies among its clients. With rising demand, the company outgrew its existing space and used Pinellas County’s Employment Sites Program (ESP) to fund an expansion, adding nearly 48,000 square feet and 50 new jobs. The expansion also includes infrastructure for an additional 32,000 square feet, potentially adding 70-100 more jobs in the future. October is Fire Safety Month, and this year, it hits close to home for us here in St. Petersburg, Florida. After facing the impacts of both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, we're incredibly thankful for the tireless work of firefighters. Their quick responses to home electrical fires and even electric vehicle fires have been critical in the aftermath of these storms. For the past few years, we have asked AGORA employees to internally share their stories, values, and what they like about AGORA. Here is an interesting story from one of our team members. Diego has been with AGORA Edge for 10 years and 7 months. What inspired your interest in fire and safety? Since I was a kid, I always had a deep admiration for firefighters. This admiration began when, as a child, I was saved from drowning in a pool. Since that moment, I have wondered how I could pay that forward and save someone’s life. Fast-forward to now, and I am glad to have the opportunity to work in an industry that does this every day. We Design and Manufacture solutions to help firefighters save lives without risking their own. So, I feel that, indirectly, I am accomplishing my goal.
