The McChord Field Fire Station plays a vital role in providing fire protection and emergency services for JBLM and McChord Field operations. Originally built in 1951, the facility required upgrades to address seismic safety, leaks, and space utilization. AHBL provided structural and civil engineering design services, including seismic retrofits to meet risk category IV standards. The design prioritized modernizing the structure while preserving its historical character.
