  • Thanks to everyone who joined our first hike of 2025 at Culver City Stairs! We had originally set out for 1.2 miles, but ended up doing a 6-mile loop—what a group of go-getters! Between the panoramic city views and energizing company, it was the perfect way to jump-start a Sunday. We'll be resuming our biweekly Cerebral Beach Hike schedule next month; let us know if there's any trails you think we should take on!

“I think one of the practical ways we can all be empowered and empower others is…everyone here who is familiar with AI tools, please adopt someone who isn’t familiar with AI tools…So that’s a charge and some homework I give to all of us as we leave here.” – Jen García On October 18th, AI LA brought together distinguished voices from academia, government, industry, and nonprofits for an intimate rooftop gathering in Playa Del Rey, kicking off LA Tech Week 2024. In this highlight, Jen García challenges us to share our knowledge of AI’s benefits, risks, and harms—one hour at a time. Through community events like this one, AI LA strives to keep these conversation going and ensure Responsible AI development remains a priority in the Greater Los Angeles area—and beyond.
