  • Introducing our first workshop of the year: "Demystifying AI: A Beginner's Guide to Intelligent Agents", led by Parth Patil. In this 2-hour introductory workshop, we'll break down the buzz around tools like ChatGPT, image generation, and the new wave of AI powered by LLMs and transformers. You'll learn the basics of prompt engineering, explore how these tools handle different input/output modalities, and discover what it means to build an "agent" using persona, tools, knowledge, and memory. This session is perfect for anyone curious about how natural language copilot technologies work and where they're headed. This is a live session, so you’ll get to interact with the instructor, Parth Patel (works with Reid Hoffman). RSVP: https://lu.ma/350xi8tk Become an AI LA+ Member: https://lnkd.in/gJi_3ViR

AI Governance Third-Party Mgmt @CVSHealth - Founder and Head Responsible @AI LA Reading Group

8 months ago, I started the Responsible AI Reading Group (RAIRG) because I saw Responsible AI often treated as an afterthought. I wanted to deepen our collective understanding of Responsible AI—a topic that many are still unfamiliar with—and highlight how governing technology is a competitive differentiator for companies, not a blocker. Fast forward to today: we've hosted 36 Responsible AI events! From weekly online research discussions to in-person technical and policy workshops and roundtables, it’s been an incredible journey building a community dedicated to Responsible AI. Our team has grown to nearly 10 amazing volunteers, and we were thrilled to bring on a part-time program manager last month, thanks to support from AI LA. Having AI LA as a partner and a house for the group has been a true gift. With these resources and fresh insights from our recent offsite, we’re cooking up an even bigger and better program for next year. 2025 is going to be epic! We’d love to hear your thoughts on Responsible AI, community-building, or your program ideas. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
