  • This week we are highlighting Leyuan Li, our ACSA Liaison this year! 🎉 Li is an assistant professor at the University of Colorado Denver and founder of Office for Roundtable. Li likes bouldering and hiking, and is often called "Pineapple Li" in honour of his favourite fruit! 🍍 The AIAS Board of Directors is comprised of students, recent graduates, and liaisons elected by members to serve our headquarters. They volunteer their time to service our members and push our mission to advance leadership, design, and service among architecture students! Stay tuned for more highlights from our 2024-25 Board members 🥳

  • Each month, the AIAS highlights the outstanding dedication and accomplishments of one of its members. The Chapter Leader of the Month can be a Chapter President or any member who has shown tremendous leadership. Students are nominated and selected by a jury of their peers. This month, we are showcasing Elizabeth Pernicek, 2023-2024 Chapter Secretary at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. "She has been an instrumental member of our chapter and I can't wait to see what else we are able to accomplish this semester" says William Roarty, who nominated Elizabeth for this feature. Go to our website to discover more about Elizabeth and her achievements, or nominate someone for the next Chapter Leader of the Month: https://lnkd.in/ex975sDm

  • For today's Global Feature, we want to feature AIAS SENAI Cimatec, located in Bahia, Brazil. Established in 2021, AIAS at Centro Universitário SENAI Cimatec Wenzhou was instrumental in consolidating the Latin America Region, helping transform the relationship between it and the AIAS HQ since they joined the organization. Throughout the years, they have become an incredible support structure for their program, providing educational resources, sharing tips & tricks among students, hosting competitions and workshops, and even designing and building spaces in their campus for students to enjoy. They have also developed high impact signature events in collaboration with the architecture and engineering community in their region, such as their annual Architecture and Construction week, and their ARQTEC Podcast, which you can find on Spotify, Deezer and Soundcloud! As a result, AIAS SENAI Cimatec has an incredibly active and impactful community capable of generating change. Our international members go out of their way, despite the time difference, to engage with our programming, work with our board, and attend as many AIAS Headquarters events as possible, including CoP! We are thrilled to celebrate AIAS Senai Cimatec in our #AIASaroundtheworld series! Swipe through for some photos of their chapter and events! #didyouknow #AIASglobal #buildyourcommunity #leadership #design #service #architecturestudents
