As reported by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, early dental preventative care visits can minimize or reverse dental decay—and save thousands of dollars in treatment costs. Unfortunately, issues including poverty, a lack of parent education, special needs, and Medicaid coverage are all linked to higher rates of dental decay, which impacts child development and quality of life.
