The Spanish government has ordered 25 additional #Eurofighter! Known as the Halcon II programme, the order will cover the delivery of 21 latest-generation single-seat and four twin-seat Eurofighter aircraft to replace part of the F-18 fleet operated by the Ejército del Aire. These new aircraft will boost Spain’s air-power capabilities and operations, reinforce its prominent position at the heart of #NATO, and secure the programme’s industrial footprint. Successful mission for TELEO in-orbit demonstrator✅ In collaboration with CNES, this compact ‘orbital laboratory’ - hosted onboard Arabsat’s Airbus-built Badr-8 geostationary satellite - proved that massive, rapid ground to space data transfer is possible. Thanks to this demonstrator, laser communications to and from space are set to reshape the telecoms market, similar to how optical fibre transformed telecoms on ground! OneWeb low orbit constellation extension will be Airbus-built🔧 In addition to the current fleet of Airbus-built OneWeb satellites, Airbus will also build the first batches of the extension, totalling 100 satellites. The delivery is targeted from the end of 2026, ensuring continuity and enhancement of service, as we move towards an architecture in line with the European IRIS² constellation in 2030. All of our Airbus OneWeb satellites have accumulated up to 2000 years in orbit combined. 👉Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/e9n9wTqZ #SpaceMatters
