I’m incredibly honored to have been selected as part of the Patti Grace Smith Fellowship Class of 2025! This program is truly inspiring, and I’m beyond excited to join this network of brilliant, like-minded leaders committed to making a lasting impact in the aerospace industry. I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to William Pomerantz, Tiffany Russell Lockett, Juanitta Bekoe, and the entire fellowship team for their dedication in shaping such a vital initiative. As a fellow, I’ll be working with Airbus US Space & Defense, Inc. as a Systems Engineering Intern in Merritt Island, Florida. A special thank you to Sarah Jurczyk, Derrick Walter, and Gene Makely for supporting me through the onboarding process— I’m looking forward to gaining hands-on technical experience and contributing to the groundbreaking work done at Airbus! We are proud to recognize the amazing contributions and achievements of our teammates through our #DivisionintheSpotlight initiative, and each month, we plan to highlight one division in the company.   This month, we are highlighting our Space Exploration Division.   Primarily located in Houston, Texas, and Denver, Co., the Space Exploration Division is led by Kris Kuehnel and is currently comprised of 21 personnel. For the past 50+ years, Airbus has supported NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration in many capacities, dating back to the 1970s’ development of U.S. human spaceflight ambitions. The Brooke Owens Fellowship is a nationally acclaimed nonprofit program dedicated to supporting women and gender minorities in the aerospace and aviation industry since 2017. It is an absolute dream to be a part of the Class of 2025 "Brookies". I am honored to be able to connect with the most exceptional undergraduate women and gender minorities in the aerospace and aviation industry. I would like to extend a huge thank you to Emma Hance who encouraged me to apply to the Brooke Owens Fellowship and continues to support me in all of my endeavors.
