  • Last week we were in Dubai presenting AIRCURE TECH in a booth at GITEX Impact, the most Innovative Climate-Tech Event of the region. A magnificent experience, which allowed us to see the vision and needs of the region in relation to the current climate situation. We exchanged views with other exhibitors, and met with investors, corporations and government institutions from around the world.

  • Did you know that plants emit CO2 and its reduction could be essential for the planet? With Aircure, emissions from forests could be cut in half, equivalent to 25% of the annual reduction required by 2030 to contain global temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, as set out in the Paris Agreement.

  • We have been selected as one of the Top 100 startups (up to almost 1000) for Slush 100, the most founder-focused event on Earth! Held in Finland, Slush is an ideal place to find the ideal partners to develop a new era of materials based on our deeptech, bringing a real solution to the current climate situation.

  • Last Wednesday we attended the Exponential Day 2024 organized by ACCIÓ, focused on disruption to solve the climate crisis. We listen to two great presentations and the most disruptive companies. One of the high impact disruptive international companies presented has many things in common with AircureTech. This company is i2Cool Limited. They have developed a core heat dissipating technology inspired by the Saharan silver ant, with industry leading cooling performance. They have published the results in very high impact journals and have developed paints, ceramic materials and textiles with this technology, with avoided carbon emissions and reduction in energy required as strongest sales arguments. It seems, therefore, that we are not so far away from achieving new materials capable of providing CO2 and temperature control for the planet. The solution lies in the physical and chemical processes that take place in Nature, without the need to generate large infrastructures with low yields that alter natural areas and ecosystems.

  • June 5th is the World Environment Day since 1973. Previously, at the Nevada test site, the United States had detonated an atomic bomb in 1952 and a hydrogen bomb in 1957.   Today, June 5th, 2024, we have had the opportunity to hear about the efforts being made by the Catalan industrial ecosystem (especially the petrochemical industry) to achieve the goals set by the Net Zero strategy.   Despite the large investment, there is not enough renewable energy available nearby. We still need fossil fuels and nuclear energy. Infrastructure and cost problems make the industry not being supply itself, for example, with competitive green hydrogen, which is only expected viable in the long term.   Among other ways, the industries obtain hydrogen from natural gas, from methane cracking, a reaction that releases CO2. To offset these emissions, industries focus on CCS and CCUS technologies, systems that have been under development for many years and still provide a very costly and inefficient solution.   The petrochemical industry is aware of the need to develop different technologies to achieve climate neutrality. But is it going to achieve it by continuing along the same strategies? It is curious that this industry does not look to the chemistry of Nature to restore the Earth's balance...   The solution that atomic energy once provided to industry, politics and R&D is now provided by atomic chemistry of Nature.

  • Last week we were in Paris, as part of ACCIÓ's mission to VivaTechnology. We detected that companies, such as Airbus and EDF, and investment funds, like Google Ventures and Breakthrough Energy, are aware of the urgency to act in the current climate situation and the need to do so proactively. To this end, they consider it essential to implement a global policy to find high-impact solutions. But what are these solutions? Can we go beyond the capture and/or reduction of greenhouse gases? Opting for actual strategy will achieve climate solutions with minimal impact. If we seek to act in-situ on most of the Earth surface, the impact will be enormous. The application of a disruptive, transcendent, and global technology, like Aircure®Tech, would provide real solutions to solve and improve the economy and the planet in an accelerated way. Science already has these solutions. Why are they not being considered, and we have been making the same mistakes for decades? Major players should ask these questions before defining a new strategy to face the climate situation.
