I remember running a plant, we were in full swing. Running overtime and even some weekends. Then suddenly, yes suddenly a critical machine went down. The culprit? A faulty hydraulic valve. The pressure was on, I had to rally the maintenance team. the downtime was going to kill us. We could be shutting down a tier one automotive manufacturers production line. I got on the PA system and called for the maintenance supervisor to meet me on the floor at the machine.
