Have your voices heard! We are asking all available AFLA members to attend our Town Hall so we can collect data on our members' concerns and needs so that we can better advocate for the family bar.

AFLA would like to thank the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, our volunteer panellists and sponsors who helped to make our first annual Family Law Fair a success. Thank you to Ellen Embury, Alex MacNab, Iain Campbell, Andy Hayher KC, Terri Mair KC and Linda Goold for your generous contributions of time and knowledge on our family law panel. Your discussions illuminated some often overlooked niches in the family law sector and introduced students to the broader potential of choosing a career in family law. Thank you also to our sponsors Wise Scheible Barkauskas, SettleAssist and Brown Law Group for your generosity which made it possible to host the networking reception for students and family law firms. Through this event, students and family law firms were able to connect and open up potential employment opportunities for themselves. #AlbertaFamilyLawyersAssociation #AFLA #UniversityofCalgary #UofCFacultyofLaw #Alberta #AccesstoJustice #FamilyLaw #FertilityLaw #Adoptions #Surrogacy #AppellateCourt #RepresentingChildren #ChildWelfare #CollaborativeLaw #AlternativeDisputeResolutions #FamilyCourt #LawSchool
