Using at least 1 lb cremated remains or 10 g hair, we simulate the environment in which a diamond grows for hundreds of years inside the earth. The human body consists of 20% carbon- the element of life. During cremation, most carbon escapes as carbon dioxide. In the ashes remains 1-5% carbon. In our laboratory, we are able to isolate the carbon in the remains using a unique chemical procedure. The carbon is the foundation for the diamond transformation inside our own HPHT (high temperature high pressure) machines. These powerful machines create a pressure of 60,000 bar (870,000 psi) and a temperature around 2,400° F. Transformation, not creation. Choose your preferred size and cut. The color of your memorial diamond is not manipulated. Blue hues can be attributed to individual amounts of the element boron. Our memorial diamonds are as unique as you are.
