FRV Australia’s Walla Walla Solar Farm generates its first Kilowatt-Hour of clean energy Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) Australia, part of Jameel Energy, and the Canadian infrastructure fund OMERS, has announced the successful generation of the first kilowatt-hour of clean energy from the Walla Walla Solar Farm, marking a significant milestone in FRV Australia's renewable energy ambitions. Walla Walla is a 353MW large scale Solar Farm in New South Wales and is FRV Australia’s largest project to date, increasing the company's renewable energy portfolio significantly. The project supports New South Wales’ drive to meet renewable energy targets and created up to 350 construction jobs increasing investment in local services. FRV and Jameel Energy welcomes Spanish government’s funding to support development of BESS projects Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), a leading developer of sustainable energy solutions and Jameel Energy have welcomed the announcement by the Spanish government that it is awarding EUR 163.646 million (US $ 172.8 million) towards the development of new, innovative energy storage projects in Spain. FRV has been officially awarded government funding for three battery energy storage systems (BESS) in: · Figueres – Barcelona – Stand-alone storage – 49 MW – 196 MWh · Camarreal – Cantabria - Stand-alone storage – 50 MW – 200 MWh · Palau – Barcelona - Stand-alone storage – 20 MW – 80 MWh The funding will help develop a total of 805.55 MWh of storage capacity with 24 of the initiatives related to thermal systems and 35 projects offering stand-alone systems totaling 690.2 MWh.
