At Allelica, we’re dedicated to advancing precision medicine for common diseases by increasing inclusivity across all ancestral backgrounds. We’re excited to share that at the ASHG Annual Meeting in Denver last week, we introduced a new approach to modeling human genetic diversity in polygenic risk score analysis. This method removes predefined labels, allowing for a more accurate representation of human diversity. Our “8 Billion” method improves prediction accuracy across diverse genetic backgrounds by 81% (Brier score) and cuts misclassifications by 24% (Net Reclassification Improvement).
