As we approach the end of 2024, we are reminded of all the great work in the community that is being done by our grantees and the San Diego nonprofit sector. We are especially grateful to partners who recently hosted several Community Meetups and to all the community members who participated. Hosts were Urban Collaborative Project CDC, Mundo Gardens, San Diego Refugee Communities Coalition and the NORTH COUNTY LGBTQ RESOURCE CENTER. Thank you for allowing us to hear and learn from you. We're also giving a shoutout to partners Casa Familiar, Inc. and Monarch School for spending time with our board and staff recently providing tours and information to update us on all the progress being made and good work being done. Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season! #HealthEquity #DayofGratitude #Community

Part 1: Alliance Healthcare Foundation partnered with the County of San Diego ‘s Live Well Advance team for their conference this week. The conference kicked off with Superintendent’s breakfast, then we moved into the opening session with remarks from Kimberly Giardina, DSW, Gloria Ciriza, Ed.D. to Zach Rausch, the lead researcher of “The Anxious Generation” book, showing how smart phones and social media have increased youth and children mental health conditions. The opening panel plenary of Sarah Lyman, Zach, Mara Madrigal-Weiss, Dr. Willough Jenkins and youth advocate Ananya Kshirsagar of Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) provided a glimpse to how we can work together to help youth, children, parents and schools during this crisis. Great to be in partnership with Heather Nemour, Divya Bhatia of Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), Carey Riccitelli, Tara Beeston and Shelly Tregembo on this conference. #LiveWellAdvance2024 #LWA2024 #community #partnerships
