We’re so honored to receive this year’s Urban Guild Merit Award for Design Excellence in the “Missing Middle” category. Located in the historic heart of Beaufort, SC, this project is an excellent example of how creative, thoughtful design can transform challenging spaces into functional, beautiful homes. At just 952 square feet, the Washington Duplex maximizes every inch, creating two adaptable units that can be used as owner-occupied homes, rentals, or even short-term vacation properties. We’re really proud of how its success has already inspired similar projects across the Southeast. We love looking back on our past projects and reflecting on how thoughtful design comes to life. One of our standout projects was Midtown in Auburn, Alabama. This master-planned community was all about student housing, and we were thrilled to provide a mix of building types—from Mansion Flats to Duplexes, Triplexes, and even Single-Family homes. Each design was crafted with students in mind, offering diverse options to create a vibrant, functional space that meets the needs of Auburn's student community. At Freeman’s Point in Seaside Plantation, Charleston, SC, our goal was simple: to create a community that truly captures the charm and essence of Lowcountry living. We provided conceptual renderings and designs, crafting a carefully executed layout that embraces riverside living. With stunning waterfront views, boat landings, fishing docks, kayak launches, and a welcoming amenity center, the community is surrounded by beautiful, eclectic homes that perfectly reflect the Lowcountry lifestyle.
