  • We've had a few conversations this week where people have said they're feeling fed up as the weather gets worse. There's a few reasons why winter can get us down. Shorter days and less sunlight messes with your body's natural sleep cycle and our mood. Also, being stuck inside more can make you feel lonely and cut off from others. ⬇️ There are a few things you can try. First, even though it's tempting to stay cosy, try to get outside for at least a little while each day. Natural light helps regulate your sleep cycle and can boost your mood. If you can't get outside, try sitting near a window. 🌲 Also, exercise is great for your mental health, but you don't have to run a marathon. Even a short walk can make a difference. Maybe try some indoor workouts if you're really not a fan of the cold. 🥶 Lastly, try and stay connected with others. If you're unable to get out due to icy conditions, phone a friend or link up via video chat. 💬

  • Jackie and Karolyn were delighted to attend the first of many networking meetings at Hampden Park today. 🤝 A lot of connections made and support offered from different individuals and businesses, all while spreading the word of the mental health support we offer. 💕
