  • Providing equal access to electronic information and data for individuals with disabilities is the essence of the federal law, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Although not required for private companies, compliance with Section 508 will absolutely broaden your company’s client base. The team at Alphapointe is comprised of certified testers who will comb through your website, online services, apps, and other digital content to ensure that people with disabilities can access all of your information. Be sure to let your clients and future clients know that you value accessibility for all by contacting our team for a consultation. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3DZDK67. • How time flies! Once upon a time Alphapointe employees made everything by hand to benefit rehabilitation and independence for those who are blind or have vision loss. Fast forward to 2025. #Alphapointe’s headquarters are located in #KansasCity, our second location is in #Queens, New York, and we have an army base supply store in Little Rock, Arkansas, and another one in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. We are competitive and resourceful by utilizing all types of technology and owning multiple product patents. Our mission to serve people with vision loss is supported by our business growth, so our goal of having meaningful employment for more people can happen. • Did you know that Alphapointe holds multiple patents? We do. And though that's interesting in and of itself, the real reason it matters is because diversifying, expanding our product line, and innovating - always - helps us future proof our business for one reason: to continue staying relevant and growing so we can employee more people who are blind or visually impaired. Although it's hard to tell by the picture, this tourniquet is a real breakthrough ... and its responsible for saving lives in emergency situations around the world. It's just one of several products to receive a patent and help us continue growing and evolving to meet the changing demands of the world we live in. • Meet Andrew. He began working at Alphapointe in January of 2023 in the Contract Management Services Department. Reconciling pay history, modifying contracts, and closing out contracts are just a few of the things on his daily to-do list. Andrew is diagnosed with a condition that affects his retinal photoreceptors which causes light sensitivity. “My condition leaves me with zero central vision and photophobia," shared Andrew. When not working at Alphapointe, you can find Andrew playing the drums with the Wichita Symphony. “I started playing when I was 10,” he said. “The biggest struggle has always been reading sheet music and seeing a conductor. I soon realized I could memorize music quickly and use a small, glasses-mounted telescope to see a conductor, when needed.” Thank you, Andrew, for being part of Team Alphapointe! If you or someone you know lives with vision loss, consider a life at Alphapointe. Current openings: https://bit.ly/3UY1ldG Image Description: Andrew sitting at his drum kit smiling at the camera.]

  • At Alphapointe, we’re evolving to meet the changing demands of businesses with innovative solutions—like adding a clean room to our offerings. This expansion not only supports our mission to employ people with vision loss but also helps us create even more opportunities to hire new team members. Our clean room is perfect for kitting and packaging and is ISO Level 7 Certified and ISO 14644 Compliant*. The room has sterilization, shrink wrap, and heat seal capabilities. (*The International Organization for Standardization is a private organization with a membership of 167 national standards bodies. The ISO cleanroom classification system is what Alphapointe uses to maintain its Clean Room standards.) • Employee Spotlight: Tiffany Eddins Being a police officer was a tradition in Tiffany’s family, and she had studied criminal justice in college. Then came the headaches and vision problems. Her peripheral vision was fine, but everything else was getting blurry. She came home from college, visited handfuls of doctors, and was eventually diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri. Tiffany came to Alphapointe for rehabilitation services, and she noticed that the agency also employed people who are blind and visually impaired. In nine years, she has advanced from machine operator to supervisor, then assistant manager, and now a manager supervising 38 people. Tiffany’s life may not have followed her original plan, but she found her place and a career she loves. “I love what I do. Sometimes, maybe too much,” Tiffany said with a chuckle. By the way, Tiffany is one of the few legally blind people in the U.S. to be a certified forklift operator.]

Where can you find Alphapointe products? In the cockpits of fighter jets, on call in emergency situations where they save lives, and in Times Square cleaning up after the big celebration. The New York Department of Sanitation uses a number of Alphapointe products, like the Palmyra street broom in this picture, to keep the city streets in order. [Image descriptions: An employe off the Department of Sanitation is in Times Square using a broom to sweep brightly-colored confetti from the streets; 2.
