About us
The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International is a not-for-profit international association of the world's manufacturers of fans, louvers, dampers, air curtains, air flow measurement devices, ducts, acoustic attenuators, impellers and other air system components used in commercial buildings and processes. Its mission is to promote the health, growth and integrity of the air movement and control industry. Founded in the United States in 1917, AMCA has over 330 members worldwide and is expanding rapidly. The organization has an Asian division (Asia AMCA) and European division (European AMCA), which operate separately. AMCA members are largely manufacturers, but the organization also welcomes suppliers as Associates and resellers as Affiliates. AMCA members define our programs, help write standards and guide activities. Our members choose to compete on a level playing field, in which ratings of all competitors are correct and based on a common standard. A complete list of members, associates and affiliates is posted on our website (www.amca.org). AMCA operates its own laboratories in Chicago and Malaysia and has a licensed independent laboratory in Seoul, Korea, to test and certify the ratings and regulatory compliance of member and non-member products. AMCA laboratory services include ratings tests for acoustic, airflow, pressure, power and efficiency testing. - AMCA standards are adopted by the American National Standards Institute as ANSI standards and are written by open committees of engineers, experts and other interested parties - AMCA's state-of-the-art lab in Chicago is A2LA-accredited to comply with ISO 17025 - AMCA Certification Programs will be accredited to comply with ISO 17065 - AMCA seminars are accredited by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, giving attendees the opportunity to earn PDHs.

🌟 AMCA Europe & Eurovent Fans Advocacy Meeting Recap 🌟 Last week, AMCA Europe and Eurovent wrapped up a successful 2-day Fans Advocacy meeting at the Penta Hotels in Prague. Day 1 Highlights: Kicked off with the AMCA Europe Steering Committee discussing the new FY2025-2028 Advocacy Strategy. Covered key topics like the 2025 Motor Regulation Revision and its impact on the fan industry, updates on AMCA 211 and Initial feedback for the upcoming EU Fan Summit in 2026. Day 2 Highlights: Joint Fan Advocacy meeting with Eurovent focused on the draft FAQ Regulation 2024/1834 for Fans, Discussed Joint Recommendations on Quality Criteria for Fans, EPDs for HVAC products, and updates on standards and regulations. We also enjoyed a fantastic social evening at QQ Asian Kitchen, perfect for dinner and networking. A big thank you to the chairs Jürgen Albig Harald Rudelgass Uwe Sigloch for leading these meetings, and members who participated, both in person and online. We look forward to our next joint meeting that should be held before summer! Stay tuned for details.

AMCA Participating in MEP International Conference in Saudi Arabia AMCA is a knowledge partner and AMCA Director, Europe and Middle East, Hassan Abou Jawhar a speaker for the 2024 MEP International Conference, which will be held Sept. 16 and 17 at the Jeddah Hilton in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. MEP International Conference is an annual gathering of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) consultants; project owners; developers; architects; engineers; and contractors involved in Saudi megaprojects as part of Vision 2030. It is expected to draw more than 200 senior delegates from more than 10 countries.
