Aedes caspius is a floodwater mosquito and commonly found in areas of Europe and the Middle East. It can be found in both fresh and saline marshes, but is most abundant in salt marshes. Some Ae. caspius populations are autogenous and able to deposit one batch of eggs prior to the first blood meal! #AMCA #aedes #mosquitoes

Wolbachia is common type of bacteria found in over half of all insects. It can be used to reduce numbers of Aedes aegypti. Mosquitoes with Wolbachia are not genetically modified. The use of mosquitoes with Wolbachia is regulated in the United States by the EPA. #mosquitocontrol #mosquitoes
