About us

As members of AAPLOG, we affirm: 1) That we, as physicians, are responsible for the care and well being of both our pregnant woman patient and her unborn child. 2) That the unborn child is a human being from the time of fertilization. 3) That elective disruption/abortion of human life at any time from fertilization onward constitutes the willful destruction of an innocent human being, and that this procedure will have no place in our practice of the healing arts. 4) That we are committed to educate abortion-vulnerable patients, the general public, pregnancy center counselors, and our medical colleagues regarding the medical and psychological complications associated with induced abortion, as evidenced in the scientific literature. 5) That we are deeply concerned about the profound, adverse effects that elective abortion imposes, not just on the women, but also on the entire involved family, and on our society at large.

  • Help women who regret beginning a drug-induced abortion by joining the Abortion Pill Rescue Network. Abortion Pill Reversal is an effective way of trying to give a preborn child a second chance at life and the mother a second chance at choice. The abortion pill mifepristone is known to work by blocking progesterone receptors. This blockade is reversible with natural progesterone. Available evidence shows that this reversal is successful approximately 68% of the time - however time is of the essence and progesterone should be started as soon as possible after a woman takes mifepristone to increase the chance of fetal survival. Do you want to offer this life-saving treatment to your patients who regret their abortion decision? Learn more and join the Network at https://buff.ly/4g0tjxc

  • Our Caring for Both Podcasts provides resources on how to support both our pregnant and preborn patients. On a recent episode, Be Not Afraid Co-Founder Tracy Winsor offers tips for how medical professionals can best support parents facing prenatal diagnoses. "People who are trying to come to terms with a traumatic situation…benefit from having other people saying to them, ‘I respect your decision to carry to term and I know that you will be able to make good decisions for yourself. We’re just going to make sure you have the information you need…You are going to be just fine." Listen to the conversation here: https://buff.ly/3ONJ5Q7

  • On Human Rights Day we at AAPLOG stand with our patients, both born and preborn. Every human being has equal value and worth from the moment of fertilization. We believe our pregnant patients deserve excellent healthcare and physicians who put their well-being above a political agenda. That is why we fight for clear guidance for medical professionals and the rights of our pregnant patients to be fully informed and give full consent to any healthcare decision. We also stand with our preborn patients in fighting for their right to be treated with dignity. Every life is precious and deserves to receive excellent care.

  • Kimberly, a young mom, reached out to us to share her pregnancy loss story. She was prescribed what she was told was Plan B after suddenly stopping her usual hormonal contraceptive. After taking the pill, however, Kimberly realized that the drug she had been given was actually Ella. After doing some research, she realized that Ella, unlike Plan B, is a progesterone receptor blocker; it works the same way as the abortion drug mifepristone. "I ... would never have taken it if I would have known prior," Kimberly told us. She later discovered she was pregnant, which compounded her anxiety. Did taking Ella harm her preborn child? Kimberly began diligently monitoring her HCG levels, getting labs taken multiple times in a week. To her dismay, her levels of the pregnancy hormone were not increasing as they should in a healthy pregnancy. Less than two weeks after discovering her pregnancy, Kimberly tragically miscarried her child. Women deserve to know how Ella works so they can make informed decisions for themselves and their family.
