In this compelling episode of Robin’s Nest, Dr. Robin Ganzert welcomes Dr. Robert Aruho, a leading conservationist and veterinarian dedicated to protecting one of the world’s most endangered species—the mountain bongo. As Head of Conservancy, Veterinary Services, and the Mountain Bongo Program at the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, Dr. Aruho shares his passion for saving these magnificent antelopes, whose numbers have dwindled to fewer than 100 due to poaching and habitat loss. Throughout the conversation, Dr. Aruho’ s deep love for his work shines through, as he describes it as “all joy because you do what you love.” He also shares a touching personal motivation—his lifelong promise to his mother to protect the animals. Tune in for this inspiring discussion on the frontlines of conservation and the fight to save species from extinction.

For four and a half years, Military Working Dog (MWD) Frenky and SSG Kristin were inseparable—partners through multiple combat tours, Special Forces missions, and Secret Service assignments. They faced danger together, provided comfort to fellow service members, and built an unbreakable bond forged in trust, courage, and loyalty. 💙💚 But for the past three years, they’ve been apart. Now, at last, SSG Kristin has the chance to bring Frenky home before his 10th birthday next month. This reunion is only possible with your support. Bringing Frenky home requires critical resources, and we need compassionate supporters like you to make it happen. Help us reunite Frenky with the person who means everything to him ➡️ https://bit.ly/3CIAZG9

Our team continues to bring humanitarian relief to the people and animals impacted by the wildfires across Southern California. Over the past week, we joined World Central Kitchen in Altadena and Sierra Madra – as they distributed meals to the community, we supplied food for furry family members along with pet essentials for more than 750 families in need. #RescueCareProtect 💙💚 Thank you to our incredible partners for donating more than 20,000 pounds of cat & dog food for us to distribute to those who need it most: Greenies, Costco Wholesale, Hill's Pet Nutrition, Barkworthies and Brutus Broth.
