The American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) is looking for volunteers to serve on a Task Force to analyze ANSI/ASHRAE/ASHE Standard 189.3: Design, Construction and Operation of Sustainable High-Performance Health Care Facilities through a financial lens. Our goal is to create resources for hospitals and jurisdictions to understand the cost implications of adoption of the International Green Construction Code (IgCC), ASHRAE 189.1, and/or ASHRAE 189.3, so that those who adopt these standards can allocate any additional funding needed to support the initiatives to ensure financial well-being of the hospitals impacted. We are looking for a mix of architects, mechanical engineers (both plumbing and HVAC), electrical engineers and hospital facility managers. All task force members should have experience with the cost impacts of regulations relating to their specialty.
