As the Controller at American Wholesale Fenceworks (AWF), you'll play a crucial role in reshaping our processes and driving financial outcomes as we expand into a regional supply chain powerhouse. This position offers a unique chance to learn from seasoned CEO and CFO leaders while taking on a vital leadership role within our team. Key Responsibilities: Cash Management: Oversee and optimize cash inflows and outflows, managing bank and credit card accounts, and utilizing lines of credit effectively. Internal Controls & Processes: Assist in developing and implementing internal controls and accounting processes for our expanding multi-location business. Collaboration & Training: Work with other departments to train team members on proper accounting treatments and procedures. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with company procedures and accounting standards. Financial Analysis: Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial analyses. Cost Accounting: Establish and maintain cost accounting processes for our production and fabrication activities. Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data through meticulous review and reconciliation of accounting records and reports. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting process. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the assistant controller, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams. CPA Interface: Liaise with our CPA firm to ensure compliance and accuracy. M&A Support: Assist the CEO and CFO with mergers and acquisitions transactions. Leadership Support: Provide financial support to the company's leadership team as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-location business. Strong expertise in cash management, general accounting, and cost accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with QuickBooks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines. Why AWF?
