AmeriCorps’ return-on-investment study found that for every federal dollar invested, our healthy futures programs return between $3.85 and $10.65. AmeriCorps members support new home construction, home repairs, homelessness and eviction prevention, homeownership counseling, and housing navigation. In her sixties, Jody-Lynn found a meaningful way to honor her late husband’s love for hiking by joining AmeriCorps in 2023. Through the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference, she dedicated 450 hours to building hiking trails.
