We want to introduce you to Vanessa Perez and her mother, Yolanda Cobos. We met them at last night's Hispanic Mother Daughter Program graduation at Arizona State University. Vanessa will be the first in her family to go to college in the fall when she enrolls at ASU to study community health with a goal of becoming a nurse. "Being part of the first generation is very exciting, but this program helps because there’s nobody that I can really talk to (about college)," Vanessa told us. "These people here are willing to spend time with us and answer our questions. It's another way of helping us succeed.” We LOVE this program.
