A new study from Loyola University Chicago has found that large solar farms in the Midwest have a slight positive impact on nearby property values, increasing them by 0.5% to 2%. Researcher Gilbert Michaud conducted the study to address concerns often raised at community hearings about solar projects affecting property values. Michaud emphasized that other factors, like schools and local economies, play larger roles in determining property values. Midwestern solar farms, ranging from 5 to 20 MW, showed the greatest positive effects. Michaud suggests these findings are important for Midwest communities considering large-scale solar projects, dispelling fears that solar farms harm property values and highlighting their economic benefits, such as tax revenues and job creation. #RenewableEnergy #CleanEnergy #SolarPower #SustainableFuture #GreenEnergy
