As a scientist, I have gone through countless safety trainings to work in the lab. It was not until I was hurt in a chemical spill accident due to an improper functioning lab coat that I finally understood how important safety is. Good or bad safety could mean life or death for so many people. Since founding AmorSui, ensuring that each of our protective clothing is safe to wear, functional, and sustainable is the number one priority. Today, AmorSui proudly supports ICPHSO (Intl Consumer Product Health & Safety Organization) in sponsoring its program in Brussels, Belgium, in conjunction with the 2024 International Product Safety Week #IPSW2024. Its mission to provide opportunities for key product safety stakeholders to learn, network, and share information to advance safer consumer products around the globe aligns with ours at AmorSui. Designing for inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do at AmorSui . It is also what differentiates us from other companies in the market. Our PPE is thoughtfully designed to be safe to wear, functional, and sustainable. Functionality means a lot to us. It does not only mean products that fit well to different body sizes but also inclusive of people of different races and backgrounds. I must admit that creating something new outside the industry norm has been a challenging path. We talk to users, design products from scratch, get the product out in the market, and repeat the process to improve our design consistently. However, more inclusive products also open more market opportunities, especially when the underserved market is women in half of the workforce, women in healthcare professions which account for 80%, and a growing number of Muslim women working in the industry. I’m grateful to be able to share AmorSui’s mission at the European Commission International Product Safety Week #IPSW2024. My team and I are energized to continue paving the path to promote inclusiveness in product safety, not only because product inclusivity is the right thing to do but also because it’s a smart business decision.
