These investments are a critical first step, helping to catalyze additional funding. We are going to miss Kathy Armijo Etre dearly, but we wish her all the best on her retirement! As VP of Mission at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, Kathy has been a trusted and inspiring partner in the Community Health Funder Alliance. This Alliance, her vision from 2019, has provided more than $8.6 million in grants to nonprofits making a real difference in our region’s health. By pooling funds, the Alliance has reduced the administrative burdens so organizations can focus on serving the community. Kathy always started our meetings with thought-provoking reflections, grounding us in the work. We will miss her warmth and wisdom, but the Alliance will continue, and we hope she enjoys a well-deserved retirement, knowing her impact will endure.
