We are excited to announce our $30M Series A fundraise, led by Alt Capital and Caffeinated Capital, to accelerate the demonstration of our first microreactor. Since raising our seed round a year ago, we’ve finalized our core design, demonstrated our first heat pipe, machined graphite for our core, kicked off power conversion and control systems designs, joined INL’s front end engineering and experiment design (FEEED) program, and won $4.3M in DOD and DOE funding. We plan to use this round of capital to expand our R&D and manufacturing capabilities and complete our first electrically-heated demonstration unit, scheduled for completion in early 2025. Thanks to our new and existing investors for their support, including Shine Capital, BoxGroup, Alice Lloyd George, Shrug Capital, Uncommon Capital, Banter Capital, as well as national laboratory partners including Idaho National Laboratory, Savannah River National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories. We’re also delighted to welcome Jack Altman to the Antares board. You can read more about the latest at Antares and check out open roles at Antares at our website. Abundant energy, from Earth to the Asteroid Belt
About us
At Antares, our long-term mission is to make clean energy abundant, from earth to the asteroid belt. We’re fueled by the belief that energy abundance and a strong defense industrial base are the keys to unlocking growth in the American standard of living. That’s why we’re building transportable microreactors for the military. Our founding team hails from SpaceX, the White House, MIT, Rigetti Computing, and the Air Force. We've raised over $8M in capital from top-tier investors, including Caffeinated Capital, Humba Ventures, Pathbreaker, Shrug, and many more.

We're thrilled to partner with Idaho National Laboratory and the National Reactor Innovation Center | NRIC front-end engineering and experiment design (FEEED) program as we prepare to build and test our first reactor.
Exciting update 👏 Antares is entering the initial stages of the front-end engineering and experiment design phase for testing in the National Reactor Innovation Center | NRIC's DOME test bed at INL, which supports developers in planning for the design, fabrication, construction and testing of fueled reactor experiments. Antares is developing a kilowatt-class microreactor that the company anticipates going operational in DOME as soon as the end of 2027.
