Back in 2020 when Aquagga was just getting started, we were thrilled to successfully treat 1/20th of a gallon of water using the HALT process, in a painstaking process of repeatedly loading small samples into a batch reactor. It wasn't much, but it validated the concept and the vision, and it got us on our way.
This year, we treated nearly 2,000 gallons of very concentrated, PFAS-rich water leveraging the HALT process. As our initial vision gradually becomes a reality, we look forward to years when we can talk about treating millions of gallons of PFAS-rich water, destroying kilograms of PFAS in the process.
At the end of 2024, we've been reflecting on the tremendous privilege that we have in being entrusted by so many stakeholders to bring the HALT technology to fruition. We have the benefit of standing on hundreds if not thousands of shoulders: scientists, inventors, community groups, investors, advocates, mentors, advisors, customers, government agencies, and very understanding friends and family. All of us are united in a desire to safeguard our communities from toxic chemicals, and we hope that our collective efforts will leave a lasting, positive impact for all.
Here's to many more years of facilitating the "simple" act of chemically converting organic fluorine to inorganic fluoride. 🥳🎉
